The
logo of “Energy from Women” is the fusion of women and energy. The idea was to
create a simple figure to represent a great community, also including my
personal touch. The logo was designed by John Paúl Mendieta (Ecuadorian), my
lifelong friend, Architect, and Artist of digital painting. He outlined the all
idea, as I imagined it, with the combination of four elements: wind (wind
turbines), sun (solar cells), a woman, and a solar woman. The consideration of only
these four elements does not exclude other sources of energy and technologies
such as hydroelectricity, biomass, and geothermal. The four elements respond to
criteria of design and simplicity.
The
painting of Energy from Women applied the same idea used for the logo, with the
difference that this illustration was inspired by charcoal drawings to be
embodied into digital painting, also showing the founder of this blog. John was
also the author of this image, a great artist. Thanks, my friend!
